Welcome to my homepage! I’m Fangyi Wang (王方奕), a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Biostatistics at Yale School of Public Health working with Dr. Yize Zhao on statistical modeling of biomedical data with complex structures. I got my PhD in Statistics from The Ohio State University, under the supervision of Drs. Sebastian Kurtek and Yuan Zhang. Before my PhD study, I completed a B.S. in Biological Sciences at Tianjin University and an M.P.H. in Biostatistics at Yale University. My research interests include conformal prediction and distribution-free inference, functional and shape data analysis, nonparametric methods, Bayesian modeling, and statistical methodology for structured data. I was born in a small city in Shandong, China, which became well known in 2023 for its barbecue. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, badminton, and watching Formula 1 and table tennis.
